The big robots are never handed to a child and never left running on their own. One trained person flies it for the whole visit, and that’s the only way we do it.
We mark out the area before we start and nobody crosses it without the captain. Photos happen at the edge, with the robot standing still.
The kits have small parts. Under-6s are very welcome to watch the show — they usually love it most — but they don’t build. If your child is 4 or under we’ll say so before you book rather than after.
We carry public liability and will send a certificate to any venue that asks. Community centres and parks usually do.
A room, a table for the builders, and a power socket. For the show we need a clear floor area about the size of two parking spaces, indoors or on a flat patio.
Close enough for photos, with the captain between them and it. They don’t drive it. There’s a marked area nobody crosses without the captain.
Building is 6 and up — younger than that and the small parts are a problem. Watching is any age. Most of our parties are 6 to 11.
Everything works indoors. If you booked for a garden and the weather turns, tell us and we move inside. No charge for that.
Ten days is comfortable. Saturdays in spring go about six weeks out. If your date is sooner, book it anyway and we’ll tell you straight away if we can’t make it.
Anywhere within about 40 miles of Huntsville or 30 miles of New York. Further out we still come, we just add travel to the quote.
